Feeling, emotion, atmosphere, every photo is an artistic thought captured in a fraction of a second. Technique goes hand in hand with aspects such as atmosphere, use of light and compostition. However to create an exciting, emotional, vulnerable or seductive image, there is more needed than just professional knowledge. Mutual understanding, good communication and interaction in harmony with the person to be photographed are just as important.

My strength is both for technique and an intuition and a feeling for communication with both the person or object to be photographed as well as the client. Meeting the requirements of the client in a clear, concrete manner while respecting the artistic qualities is an absolute necessity to create a photograph which is the best it can be. Playful, natural, creative, original and contempory with respect for the previously made agreements is essential for a succesful project.

Commercial photography in combination with love for making photo documentaries have shaped my view on photography. In commercial or advertising photography the atmosphere and moment often have been created whilst with photographic documentaries one needs to wait for and capture just the right moment and just the right atmosphere. Actually they are two disciplines which need to be combined in order to reach the artistic idea I had in mind.
